Tintern is set at the southern end of the Wye Valley, on the A466 between Monmouth and Chepstow. Surrounded by steep wooded hillsides, alongside the winding River Wye.
The village stretches for approximately one mile, from the imposing Tintern Abbey in the south, to the secluded Tintern Old Station in the north.
Parva Farmhouse Riverside Guesthouse is situated toward the northern end of the village, next to St. Michael’s Churchyard, on the river side.
