With a selection of magazines, books and board games, NO television, the lounge is a haven in which to unwind.
Serve yourself at the “Honesty Bar”, sink into the leather sofas or armchairs and pass the time discussing the day’s events with other guests, and discover other places of interest to visit during your stay. Enjoy a drink in the south facing garden or on the riverbank.
The lounge, with it’s 3ft. thick walls and wood burner, is cool in summer and warm in winter and can be used any time during your visit.
Guests are welcome to bring their dogs into this room as long as there are no objections from other guests. (Our own dog Frodo, a friendly Border Terrier cross, can keep them company.)
If you need to plan days out or excursions, there are plenty of maps, tourist information leaflets and walking routes available
