We open properly as a restaurant from Friday 2 March. We hail from the Walnut Tree, but here it’s just the two of us, one cooking, one waiting. There is no brigade of chefs, and team of waiters. Please, don’t expect a cut-down version of the Walnut Tree. This is our place, with our ideas.
So, it’s a simple menu, just a small choice. What we do promise you, is some good cooking, and lots of enthusiasm. The SAMPLE menu below is just that, an indication of the style. Our menu changes weekly. However, if you are staying for more than one night, we will offer alternatives.
A SAMPLE DINNER MENU
sea bass, mussels and clams in a spiced consommé
squab pigeon with pastilla and pomegranate
halibut with a basil and pine nut crust, red peppers and Charlotte potatoes
loin of venison with a shortcrust pie and root vegetables
milk chocolate and peanut parfait
Seville orange marmalade pudding with Penderyn custard
